Dutch Government Flees to England
The British sent the Royal Navy destroyer HMS Hereward to collect the rest of the Dutch royal family, most notably the queen, Koningin Wilhelmina, and bring them to England.
London was a popular gathering spot for European royals and heads of state during the war.
