Five Brothers and a War
Critical Vehicles Powered by Natural Gas
In order for the most basic services to function, including emergency vehicles and taxis, a fuel supply was needed. In one of the stranger adaptations, large bags containing natural gas were installed on the roofs of the cars and trucks. A supporting and retaining cage had to be installed to prevent the bag from being caught in the wind. As the bag went flat, it had to be re-filled. Normally, one bag would last for about 50 kilometers (30 miles).
