Five Brothers and a War
Atlantikwall
nazi germany
During World War II, the Atlantikwall ran “straight” through Den Haag. In Den Haag, a huge number of buildings were demolished to make room for an anti-tank ditch. A total of 28,000 homes were destroyed. A quarter of the city’s residents had to move and around 45,000 people were forced to live elsewhere.
