Atkantikwall

Jan Lammerse, the father of Jeannette, who would later marry Bertus, was a butcher by trade. He lived and worked in Scheveningen. The Lammerse family lived in Stevinstraat 257. The map below shows where they were until they were forced out by the German Atlantikwall decree. They were well inside the exclusion zone, which was on the coastal side of the line.
