[translation] ORDER. By order of the German Army all men between the ages of 17 and 40 (inclusive) must report for work duty. For this purpose ALL men in this age group must immediately after receipt of this order go outside and wait in the street with the prescribed equipment. All other occupants, including women and children, must remain indoors until the action is completed. The men of the aforementioned age groups, who will still be found inside, will be punished by confiscating private property. Proof of exemption from civil or military officials must be brought for inspection. Those who have such proof are obliged to wait in the street as well. You must bring: warm clothing, sturdy shoes, blankets, protection against rain, eating equipment, knife, fork, spoon, tumbler and sandwiches for one day. The daily remuneration consists of good food, tobacco, and wages according to the current scale. Your relatives who stay behind will be cared for.
