Five Brothers and a War

V-3 Super Cannon

The third weapon is the easiest to discuss because it really didn’t work, and the idea was quickly abandoned. The plan was that as the artillery projectile moved through the barrel of the cannon, secondary and tertiary charges would be fired in succession to give added boost to the projectile. The plan was to install the weapons near Calais and fire them at London. However, the results were disappointing and, in fact, the Allies already had a weapon that delivered superior performance.
