Meet — Rohn Boone

Boone & Boone Construction, Ltd. has been completing large-scale commercial construction for more than 40 years. Peggy Boone and son, Rohn, founded the company in 1983 after working together for many years with another successful East Texas commercial contractor. Rohn Boone began working in commercial con struction in 1965 as a summer job. He learned the construction business by working his way up from the bottom, learning to be a finish carpenter along the way. He later earned his degree in building construction at Northeast Louisiana University (now the University of Louisiana-Monroe), finishing at the top of his class. Boone & Boone Construction provides general contractor, con struction management, and design/build services for projects of all sizes, including the largest projects in the East Texas area. We have built schools, churches, shopping centers, postal facilities, visitor centers, research centers, fish hatcheries, industrial pro-jects, office complexes, museums, stadiums, gymnasiums, auditor-iums, and just about every other kind of building. At Boone & Boone Construction a team of dedicated people works to ensure that you get top value for every construction dollar. For more than 40 years, Boone & Boone Construction has been successfully serving the construction needs for all of East Texas — and beyond. Established by longtime construction executive, Peggy, and her construction management son, Rohn, Boone & Boone Construction has built a well-deserved reputation for serving its clients at the highest possible levels of integrity. By placing clients at the top of its organization, every employee, subcontractor and supplier constantly works to first satisfy client needs. While other firms seek to enhance their bottom-line profits, Boone & Boone enhances repeat business through unique partnership arrangements where the client is fully involved in the construction process — without the stress and burden of dealing with those typical construction-related issues that lie outside their areas of either interest or expertise. Construction periods are often stressful for organizations due to the “normal” displacement, disruption and decision-making that goes with it. Boone and Boone Construction serves its clients in a number of ways, depending on the clients’ needs. Of course, we a full-service general contractor with our own very large fleet of heavy equipment and our own extremely experienced personnel. We use those years of experience, costing knowledge, stability of our management team and seasoned superintendents to complete the project in a timely, cost effective manner--and we do it all while maintaining the highest level of craftsmanship.

Our estimators have successfully bid on, and our workforce has successfully completed, innumerable multi-million-dollar general contracting work over our our entire 40-year history. Our solid financial resources means that our bonding capacity is matched only by the trust those who do business with us possess. If your firm has a vision and a set of plans, we offer competitive pricing and competent construction. One methodology of project oversight is Construction Management , where we work with your design team to ensure that your project becomes a reality. As your architect/engineer complete their plans, we partner with you to build your project on time and within your budget. We work with your design professionals to clarify construction drawings and specifications in order to maintain agreed-upon budgetary constraints. We then place the project information with qualified bidders, supervise the bid process, select subcontractors, schedule the work, and manage the construction process. As your Construction Manager, we take your project through to completion. Another of our specialties is Design/Build , where we not only build your projects, but we also design, draw, and engineer them. Our in-house design team will consult with you to first ascertain your concepts and needs, then produce all necessary drawings and specifications. We make the design process easy by depending on our years of experience in all facets of construction. We are a full partner with you in order to ensure that your wants and needs, including budgetary needs, are fully met. In both scenarios, we produces schedules in order to keep you fully informed. We utilize only the most qualified subcontractors through competitive bidding, phase all work, handle all paperwork with suppliers and subcontractors and manage all major and minor aspects through to completion. We take the hassle from you in order for you to stay on top of the work without having to deal the stress. We establish your major milestones, coordinate the pre-bid, bidding, purchase, and construction phases, and manage all phases of your project from start to finish.

Just as churches are the foundation of the East Texas community, they are also the foundation of our business — and it shows. We have provided the ultimate service levels just as they have done for their members. We strengthen them as they strengthen their towns and cities. While we always spend others’ money as though it is our own, we pay particular attention to our church friends to ensure that all of their tithes and offerings are expended with the greatest care. Of course, once a church is built, it lasts for generations, so our greatest repeat business actually is with neighboring churches through very positive references.
