Dutch Government Flees to England

After transporting the queen and Dutch government into exile in England, the HMS Hereward was then reassigned back to the Royal Navy's Mediterranean Fleet where it participated in a number of military operations. One year after its deployment to help the Dutch royal family, it was sunk by an attack from a German Stuka dive-bomber.
