In an elementary school in the small town of Rijsoord (top photo), the Dutch Commander in Chief, General Henri Winkelman (center of photo on left) capitulated on behalf of the Dutch Government. The school, at Rijksstraatweg 101, Rijsoord, is now a museum (photo above), with a monument memorializing the event along the street.
