V-2 Rocket

To-scale rendering of an Ockenburgh V-2 launch as seen from the top-floor rear bedroom of Margrietstraat 20. The noise generated from a rocket launch was profound, and could easily be observed from the house by looking over the nearby city park Meer en Bos (“Lake and Forest”.) Frequently, rockets were launched from the exclusion zone near downtown Den Haag. Occasionally, twin launches occurred as well.
