The map above shows the locations of the Margrietstraat 20 home (1), the flat she moved into after the Margrietstraat on the Elisabeth Brugsmaweg, near the Laan van Meerdervoort (2), and the seniors’ complex where she lived her final days (3). Also shown is her burial site in the Eik en Duinen cemetery (4).

As the Margrietstraat 20 house became increasingly vacant, with the departure of Leen, Jan and Immie, Kees, Bertus, and finally Piet and Henny, there was no need at all for such a large house. In the 1960s, Marie moved into a flat (apart ment) only about 400 meters from the Margriet straat house. Her flat in this women-only complex was the third from the top on the corner, as shown.
